Spring Renewal

  SPRING!

I really enjoy the season of spring, each year I am always amazed by the resurrection of nature to life from the death of winter. With each millisecond a change occurs, something is happening. The cells in the plants rapidly divides as they begin to grow. Like an "On" switch has been flipped and soon the unseen movement of the sap and nutrients become apparent as the landscape is transformed from being dull and motionless to a vibrant land where new life forms on the trees and the ground is covered with the softest of new grass. Spontaneously.  One day all appears barren no life! then in a blink of an eye I see evidence of life. My mind's perception is that I go to sleep one night, awaken the next morning, go outside and notice the the green things.. I am stunned! I behold a miracle. That which was dead has been brought to life.  Tiny buds have popped up over night on the trees, the ground is covered with a soft blanket of bush and grass. My eyes behold the greenest of green in color, is glowing is alive. Can I see the presence of God right before my eyes . I wonder does anyone else notice. I ask " Am I imagining this?" I feel a vibration stirring in my being, there is so much energy outside it is the active presence of God. Power! I inhale, feeling refreshed and invigorated. Then I am reminded.
The early days of the season are cool, but bright, sluggish but filled with anticipation of warmer days ahead. The death of winter still clinging as a recent memory of sleep and death. But the music of the birds fill the air mysteriously fill the air and reaches my ear. "When did they return?" I asked. Such a beautiful song they sing to our Creator. As the days of Spring progress and the weather warms and the the animal stir. From sleep they have awaken. Where have they been all winter I wonder? The days are longer. More light. Life everywhere. Resurrection!  There is something supernatural taking place. Is it not amazing! I can look at the evidence of spring for hours at a time, and always come away feeling at peace. Everyday something new to experience. Something new to remind me of God's handiwork. I am stirred to give thanks to God. Then one day the yellows, reds, and purple flowers bloom.  Wow! is all that I can say, everything is simply beautiful. My heart too is renewed, thank you Lord I say. Magnificent Spring! Today was such a lovely day, there was a warm breeze that lightly enveloped me. My skin aware of my surroundings, a world created and sustained by The One who loves us. Now I am in the presence of my Father.
I am encouraged, I have been reminded that life overcome death, There is hope. Brighter days are always ahead. Yes, this is the word I need to hear.  You are astonishing Lord God in the ways you choose to speak. You have always loved us, always redeeming, always giving life.
